Last Friday, we enjoyed a glorious day filled with perfect weather, good company, and the incredible generosity of participants; another very successful golf event for the Deo Duce Foundation! ⛳

Trustee Martin Reilly eloquently and passionately introduced the evening. He highlighted the remarkable achievements of the Deo Duce Foundation (DDF), revealing that since its inception three years ago, the foundation has committed nearly £100,000 to various causes. This support has impacted the lives of approximately 1,000 young individuals who have benefited from the programmes funded by DDF.

There were three golf competitions – Stableford team, Stableford individual and individual lowest gross. Thanks to the 77 golfers who took part and congratulations to the winners 🏆

🏌‍♂️ Stableford team – Martin Reilly, Chris Sloper, Michael Pushong and Brian Mulry (95 points)
🏌‍♂️ Stableford individual – Luke Lynch (40 points)
🏌‍♂️ Lowest gross score – Michael Mulcahy (shot 76)

The post-golf dinner was an evening to remember. Starting with a delightful spread of hors d’oeuvres, accompanied by music and magic on the terrace, courtesy of the talented Enda Mulloy, Ben Gunnery, and Adam Templeton. A great atmosphere, with over 100 attendees gathered for the occasion.

Then over to the inimitable entertainment of Tommy O’Flaherty, who lead the prize giving and auction followed by more music from Enda and Ben joined by Dave Kenny and Lorraine O’Reilly fresh from her recent tour with Russell Crowe’s ban, Indoor Garden Party.

The event has raised in the region of £30,000 – a tremendous amount which DDF will look to put to good use in the year to come for the benefit of young people in Harrow.

Thanks to all our sponsors, generous donors and guests, especially to the excellent support provided by Stanmore Golf Club and its past captain Pat Donelan. 🙏
